KANSAS CITY, MO. (August 2, 2022) KC Melting Pot Theatre is proud to present, Dying to Party by Shashone Lambert Short. The show runs ONE Week Only!

Trish and Allen, a married couple in their 60’s, plan an unforgettable party for a special occasion. As the festivities get underway, they discover that their night of celebration has quickly turned into a test of their love, as secrets are unburied and trust is questioned. Dying to Party is the soiree that is not to be missed!

This play is written by Shashone Lambert Short, born and raised in Staten Island, New York. Lambert Short is the winner of KCMPT’s 2021 Black Playwright Festival.

The show is directed by Melonnie Walker and will star two of KC’s favorite actors, Lynn King (Begetters) and Dennis Jackson (Two Trains Running).
